Our story, our mission, and our commitment to HBCU students.

From a Shared Commitment to a Greater Mission

Our journey began in 2011 with a group united by fellowship, service, and a shared commitment to supporting Grambling State University’s academic and athletic programs.

As our vision for impact grew, so did our mission. In 2024, Grambling Friends of Football, Inc. evolved into Friends United for HBCUs, Inc., expanding our reach beyond a single institution to support students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the nation.

Today, we bring together alumni, friends, community leaders, corporate partners, and supporters who believe in the transformative power of an HBCU education. Together, we are building upon our foundation of service while creating greater opportunities for the students and institutions carrying the HBCU legacy forward.
